Statement of Beliefs for Amplify Church
Introduction
At Amplify Church, we are committed to upholding the core tenets of the Christian faith while embracing the diversity of our community. Our Statement of Beliefs outlines the foundational principles that guide our faith, worship, and practice. We strive to be a welcoming space where individuals from all walks of life can explore, deepen, and express their faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, possessing all divine attributes, and they work in perfect harmony to fulfill God’s will in the world.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate source of truth for our faith and practice, providing guidance, wisdom, and insight into God’s will for humanity. We affirm the centrality of Scripture in shaping our beliefs, values, and actions.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His incarnation as fully God and fully human, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father. We affirm that Jesus is the only way to salvation and that through His sacrifice, humanity is reconciled to God.
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We affirm that all people are in need of salvation due to sin and that Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the means for forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life. Salvation is available to all who repent, believe in Christ, and accept Him as Lord and Savior.
We believe in the active role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and the Church. The Holy Spirit empowers, equips, and guides us in our spiritual journey, convicts us of sin, and produces the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit also bestows spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, nurture spiritual growth, and serve others in love. We affirm the importance of community, fellowship, and the mutual encouragement of believers.
We believe in the Great Commission given by Jesus to His followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. We are committed to evangelism, missions, and the global spread of the Gospel.
We believe that Christian living involves a commitment to love God and love others. This includes living out the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives, demonstrating compassion, justice, and integrity. We strive to reflect Christ’s character and mission through acts of service, mercy, and social justice.
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead and to establish God’s eternal Kingdom. We anticipate the fulfillment of God’s promises and the ultimate restoration of all things. This hope shapes our present lives and motivates our efforts to live faithfully in anticipation of Christ’s return.
We believe in the promise of eternal life for those who have faith in Jesus Christ. We affirm that believers will experience everlasting communion with God in His presence, while those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God. This belief in eternal life influences our understanding of purpose, mission, and the urgency of sharing the Gospel.
